While it does contain some very good framework logic (the Game Master is particularly good), the description and title are very misleading, as it leaves out some fairly significant RPG elements. In particular, there's not any discussion of quests, and, glaringly, there is no explanation at all of even a rudimentary dialogue system. There is no way to turn in quests, engage NPCs in dialogue, create a shop, etc. It does have combat thoroughly explained, but it's missing huge swaths of the most basic RPG functionality, which is exacerbated by a lengthy discussion of games like Fallout that make extensive use of dialogue and player choices to effect player agency.I was disappointed, but if you're looking for a very basic introduction to building RPG combat, this might be a decent resource.

I bought this book through another website, I regret the purchase this book is full of wasted time and space if you can read what they coded and understand it chances are you don't need this book, this book lacks any real learning and you never build a RPG in the end.
