I would highly recommend this book those who like to do animation as a career or hobby there is a lot to be learned from this book. The examplesare excellent for learning about fluid motion in any form of animation. I feel that there is a lot of helpful information in this book. you still need to know the basics to be able to produce the magic of animation.

I didn’t find the book that useful, but it has some great points that I think some will find useful. Sounds confusing, but I’ll explain.I wanted to learn how to design for animation, plus sketch fluid motion when I’m animating my roughs. I’m new to animation so I thought this would help. I am an artist who has read a lot of books, and designs characters and environments. With that said, this book did not provide information on drawing for animation, but was more about basic drawing. Things like perspective, basic shapes, gestures drawing, landscapes, etc. I have read, used, and still have so many books on these topics. So this information was redundant. With that said, I may have that experience, but others may not. I would say this is a good beginner/intermediate type of book that tells you what it takes to draw animation. To draw animation well you should have a basic knowledge of shapes, perspective, shading, anatomy, and motion/action. Does this book do that? Yes, and it does it well. One thing it did for me is let me know I was always on the right track with what I’ve been studying all these years.

Such an interesting book. Learning a lot and the images are amazing!

Great book.
